BookingJoin us on Emotion Awareness Day for a powerful 60-minute talk for parents who want to better understand their child’s anger and how to respond to it with calm and clarity. Based on the book Angry Kids, Angry Parents by psychologists Anne Hilde Vassbø Hagen and Joanne Dolhanty this conversation is for any parent who wants to better understand and respond to their child’s anger with confidence and compassion.
We’ll begin by showing the animation Angry Kids, Angry Parents (7 min), followed by a rich dialogue led by Nadia Ansar, researcher on the evidence-based method behind the book, Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST).
You’ll learn why anger is often a mask for more vulnerable feelings like shame, fear, or sadness - and how you can help your child express and manage these emotions in healthy ways. Grounded in years of psychological research and clinical wisdom, this talk offers practical tools to stay calm, set boundaries, and support your child’s emotional growth.
